IEA Courses and seminars well attended



The wisdom of IEASA Western Cape region's investment in a training centre was firmly emphasised with more than 2 130 people signing up for its 14 courses and 21 seminars and workshops during the past year. The most popular courses Western Cape region chairman Bill Rawson told members attending the 65th AGM in the city, were the EAAB exam, the property sales course and the property development course. Most favoured seminars were website launches, capital gains tax and stress management. The event of national qualification standards and the need for the body to meet government requirements meant the Institute would have to centralise training fairly soon. Other highlights of the year included an impressive surge in new membership of 210 agents; the February launch of its website and a number of social functions including the annual ladies day.
